I certainly don't intend putting my picture in each newsletter but for anyone who missed it the Gazette kindly ran an article regarding my father's retirement and my appointment. Any free publicity is always welcome! ![]() |
Before you know it we'll all be in the festive season. The Christmas tree is due to arrive on the 20th November and decorating will be starting then (any help will be greatly appreciated). Bideford is not having a late night shopping but will be having a Sunday Christmas shopping on 15th December. Unfortunately this follows the Carols By Candlelight event the evening before leaving no time to re-set stalls. The general feeling seems to be that we will have to give it a miss this year but please let me know if you have any strong opinions on this matter. |

For those of you who are interested the Market web site has now been updated. You can find it at http://www.bidefordtown.co.uk. I hope to keep the site as up-to-date as possible and would appreciate any information you may wish me to add for your business. If you have copy you wish me to include please e-mail it to me through the web site if possible. |
Both these dates fall on a Tuesday this year so there will be no disruption to normal trading days or hours. |

As I'm sure you are aware the ability to leave stock in the Market is a rare convenience. Bearing this in mind I am concerned with the use of the store rooms to keep further goods. The stores are to be cleared of all non-market materials unless specific (short-term) arrangements are made with me personally. It is becoming unmanageable with the amount of unidentified odds and ends in these stores and I will be making arrangements to clear them of all non-essential, non-Market items in due course. |
