May I remind traders that it is the duty of the first trader in on any day to unlock ALL the gates and to secure the padlock in place and also for the last trader out to lock ALL the gates. Please also note that I shall be monitoring opening hours of individual shops to report to committee where necessary. |
I have been directed by the Council to adopt an open policy with regard to allocation of stalls. This will now mean that no-one will be refused a stall on the basis of how many similar stalls are already present. With this in mind I will have to ask any traders who fill "spare" tables to make sure that they are cleared at the end of EACH market so that they are available to let at short notice. "Spare" tables may still be filled on market days after 8.00am with permission. Any trader wishing to take on a permanent extra stall must let me know ASAP to avoid having such stalls let. |

I have been in contact with an electrician regarding PAT testing of electrical devices. He will be visiting the market to perform these tests at a charge of £3.00 per item which must be left in advance along with the item(s) to be tested. I will inform anyone requiring these tests of the exact date when I am able to confirm this with the electrician. |
Once again Garden Markets will be running each Sunday in May. Any stalls wishing to open may also do so for a nominal rent. Please ask for details. |
