The main purpose of the presentation is to provide guidance on how to make sure you are meeting the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. This legislation requires that any person who has some level of control of premises must take reasonable steps to reduce the risk of fire and make sure people can escape safely if there is a fire.
Kevin’s experience in this area consists of:
·  30 years as a uniformed operational fire officer
·  For much of his uniformed career Kevin specialised in fire safety work including the enforcement of fire safety legislation
·  For the last two years he has been employed by Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service as a Non Uniformed Fire Safety Officer
·  He is a Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers
